Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know what services to book?

All services have a description under each listing on the booking site. Find one that best describes your current goals. Any further questions can be answered through the inquiry form via email on the site.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Inspiration photos for your cut, color and style are much appreciated. We offer refreshments such as water, coffee, and assortments of tea. However if you plan on a longer appointment, don’t hesitate to bring snacks or other refreshments. Feel free to bring a book or any type of quiet entertainment. Wireless earbuds are acceptable, on occasion you may be asked to remove them due to the nature of the service.

How should I arrive for my color appointment?

Please arrive with clean, dry hair for all appointments. Contrary to popular belief, color does not “stick” better to ”dirty” hair.

How often will I need maintenance?

When choosing a custom or lived in hairstyle, the goal is to feel and look good for longer. Typical range for refresh is 10-12 weeks. However some custom designs can last 12-24 weeks.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

We understand life gets busy and things come up. Please try your best to provide at least a 24 hour notice to any service adjustments or cancelations. Any adjustments, rescheduling needs, or cancelations before the 24 hour notice can be taken care of through the confirmation link you would have received via text or email.

Where should I park for my appointment?

We are located in Downtown Muskegon with city parking. Please note any streets that have limited parking hours or fees. There is a small private parking lot located diagonally adjacent to our building on 6th Street. This lot is clearly marked with a white sign stating “Private Customer Parking- Waterstone Insurance, Clove and Crown, The Collective Hair Studio”
